The new Ferrari 296 GTB is equipped with Michelin tires
The Clermont tire manufacturer Michelin will supply two different tires to Ferrari, the Pilot sport 4S K1 for the road and the Pilot sport cup 2R K2 for the circuit, intended for drivers « wishing to push the limits of their car on the track ».
These two tires are tailor-made for Ferrari, with the teams of the Italian manufacturer, and whose specific marking is found with the mention K.

Testing at the Fiorano circuit in Italy completed the early design stages where Michelin pushed the use of simulation tools « to unprecedented levels » to « significantly reduce the environmental footprint by manufacturing less of tyres, reducing the number of tests and the development time”.
