The new Daily Faceoff is coming and we need your feedback

After months of work behind the scenes and countless hours of mockups and beta testing, Daily Faceoff.com will be relaunching on January 4th. The site is finally ready for a much-needed facelift to update the user experience on the site, the technology that powers it, and how content is displayed, and now we’re waiting for your feedback to help us go even further in upgrades. Since this community grew beyond the wildest expectations when The Nation Network acquired the site in 2013, it means we have a duty to ensure that the experience you have on the site is what you expect. And with a simplified layout and improved technology to make things faster than ever, we’re asking for ideas or thoughts on how we can make it even better.

So what exactly will change? The first thing you’ll see is an improved layout that will be much easier to read and sort as you navigate through our wealth of content. Whether you’re looking for the latest Frank Seravalli rumors, line combinations, starting goaltenders or the latest NHL news, the focus is on the new Daily face-to-face is ease of use for the reader. Powered by a much faster website that will dramatically improve loading times, browsing the website on both mobile and desktop has never been easier or faster. Simply put, there was plenty of room for improvement around the site, and while we’ve tried to address as many of these areas as possible, that doesn’t mean we’re done here either.

Over the years this website has been updated and changed a handful of times, and while we spend a lot of time behind the scenes making sure we’ve dotted the ‘I’s and crossed out the ‘T’s “, the reality of a company like this is that it is impossible to think of everything that could go wrong internally. Despite a long list of volunteers testing the beta for us, we know there will continue to be issues. Without users actually coming to the website to play and check things out, there are sure to be some bugs that need to be fixed. Ultimately, we want to make sure everything works as smoothly as possible now that you see this new updated version of the Daily face-to-face. The task for us after hitting go will be to figure out how we can improve the website, and that’s where you come in.

Whether you’re a daily reader of the website or stumbled upon this article by accident, we’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the relaunch once it goes live and what we can do to improve it. If there’s anything you see (or don’t see) that was missed or should have been included, please send us a comment or email us at [email protected] so that we can make it happen. Is there a feature we had that’s gone and you’re missing? Let us know. Are there any formatting issues that were missed when the content was transferred to the new layout? Hit us. The font size is too small on your phone and you can’t read messages clearly anymore? Please advise.
