« The new Big Three of the league, it’s him »

In an NBA where competition continues to increase, many teams present an alloy of stars to the big production. One of them, however, is starting to make noise with a triplet of players that no one expected at this level!

Regardless of the conference, the ranking after a quarter of the season reveals big surprises. Defending champions, the Warriors do not even appear in the Top 8 of the West, outclassed by surprising teams like the Kings (11-9) or the Jazz (13-11). On the other side of the United States, the Pacers or the Raptors are also clinging to the lead wagon and are upsetting the hierarchy.

So many witnesses that reflect the rebalancing observed in the NBA in terms of overall level. If certain franchises always try to associate a maximum of stars, they now face rivals just as armed as they are. A few outsiders have thus created a surprise thanks to the emergence of new big names in recent weeks.

The amazing trio that is a hit this season in the East

Amidst the large workforce of the Celtics, Bucks, Nets or even the 76ers, the Eastern Conference sees the struggle of teams not necessarily called upon to play a role there. This is for example the case of the Wizards, masterfully led by Bradley Beal… but also Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis. In his Hoop Collective PodcastBrian Windhorst therefore wanted to salute the performance of this new three-headed monster:

I have to talk about the Wizards, because the league’s new Big Three just might be home. Well, let’s be clear, it’s not LeBron, Wade and Bosh, but Bradley Beal, Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis are slamming huge stats.

A simply implacable quantified observation, and which is surprising as it was intended to be unexpected before the start of the season.

More than Beal’s, similar to the one he’s been presenting for years now, Kuzma and Porzingis’ individual performance comes as a real surprise. Moreover, the two men could well be the reason for the loyalty of the back star to DC according to Windhorst:

A lot of people, myself included, wondered why Bradley Beal was so keen on staying there. And then the Wiz’ have made trades over the past two years that have built this team.

Promising, this trio nevertheless remains insufficient to make Washington a real contender in the East. But despite the franchise’s current 11-11 record, fans have plenty to be excited about for the future!

If they will still find it difficult to play the leading roles in the East this season, the Wizards can still be satisfied with the surprising trio of leaders that emerges. Who knows how far Bradley Beal, Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis can take them!
