The NBA in the United Arab Emirates next season

If with COVID-19 the NBA has not been able to export, it intends to start doing it again next season, and in France we are hoping for a new NBA Paris Game. The Warriors are expected to export to Japan while the Mavs would like to play in Madrid and Ljubljana so fans can enjoy Luka Doncic. But that’s not all, ESPN reports that the league and the culture and tourism department of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, have signed a multi-year agreement.

This agreement will first materialize with two pre-season meetings next season. They will take place in Abu Dhabi in October 2022 at a location yet to be determined. It is not yet known which teams will be affected by these two games, but we can assume that there will only be two.

This is not the first time that the NBA has visited the Middle East since it has already played in Tel Aviv (Israel).

The new partnership will also include appearances by former and current NBA players at fan events, the launch of NBA Youth Leagues in schools, NBA FIT clinics to promote health and wellness and an event related to the NBA 2K League.
