A little nod to the calendars: the Brussels exhibition follows the one dedicated to Alfa Romeo while the goal ofEnzo Ferrari, by building, in 1947, his first competition car – the Ferrari 125 S -, was to outclass Alfa Romeo from where he had just been dismissed from his position as racing director.
In Belgium, Autoworld wanted to celebrate a second anniversary. 70 years ago, the pilot Jacques Swaters became the official Ferrari importer for the Beneluxthus registering our country as the first Ferrari importing country in Europe and the 2nd in the world after the United States. It was in 1952, Swaters had just founded the Ecurie Francorchamps and imported his first Ferrari, the 500 F2.
In addition to the prestigious exhibition which opens at Autoworld, with cars estimated between 60,000 and 4 million euros, lovers of the brand with the prancing horse will be able to admire other examples this Sunday September 25 on the occasion of one « Cars&Coffee » special Ferrari which will be held on the Esplanade du Cinquantenaire. We expect about fifty representatives of the Scuderia but there will also be other brands and if they are generally expensive, admiring them will be free.
