Marte had a good season in 2021 (when he was healthy). He played 90 games, maintaining a .318 batting average. He hit 14 home runs and produced 50 runs.
The Diamondbacks, who have just signed Mark Melancon, have not given up on the 2022 season. Even though they had a season to forget in 2021, clearly they are not going. tanker next season. So it would take quite a comeback for them to trade in their star player.
