The latest jewel of the Italian brand

Considered the extreme version of the SF90 Stradale, the Ferrari SF90 XX, and its 1030 horsepower, relies on a rechargeable hybrid engine.

It is more powerful, lighter and more aerodynamic than the Ferrari SF90 Stradale of 2019 (more expensive too). There Ferrari SF90 XX is on its way to becoming the most successful car in history within the Italian firm. It must be said that at the prancing horse brand, these are the hybrids that are on the rise currently and this machine, the most powerful of the range, only confirms the trend.

A Ferrari racing car… but for the road

While inspired by the SF90 Stradale, the SF90 XX pays homage to the brand’s track vehicles. We are thinking in particular of the FXX, 599XX or even FXX K. That said, this one is approved for driving on the road. Since 1995 and the F50, no Ferrari had a fixed rear wingwhich adds aerodynamics and twice as much downforce as an SF90 Stradale.

With its look and its interior, its sporty side will seduce all automobile fans. The same goes for the 1030 hybrid horsepower under the hood. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine (797 horsepower and 804 Nm of torque) is added to the three electric motors generating 233 horsepower additional power. The cumulative power of this car is therefore 1030 horsepower, in “Qualify” mode.

Weighing 1560 kg dry and with a 0 to 100 km/h achieved in 2.3 seconds (0 to 200 km/h in 6.5 seconds), this Ferrari improves on the latest models.

For comparison, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport achieves 0 to 200 in 5.8 seconds. For 25 km, it can drive in 100% electric mode with 7.9 kWh batteries.

Value estimated at more than 500,000 euros

Ferrari will build 799 copies of the SF90 XX coupé and (against 599 copies for the SF90 XX Spider). The price is estimated at more than 500,000 euro (approximately €770,000) but that’s what it takes to acquire the most successful Ferrari in history. Its maximum speed is set at 320 km/h, which promises frustration on the motorways in France, especially with the F1 dual-clutch eight-speed gearbox and the carbon fiber racing seat.

The model SF90 XX Spider possesses a retractable roof, made of aluminum, and costs 850,000 euros. The SF90 XX Stradale therefore seems aimed at Ferrari’s wealthiest customers.

On its official website, the brand is proud of its latest jewel: “Its performance has reached unprecedented heights with an additional 30 bhp, specific software logics and the use of radical new aerodynamic solutions, such as the fixed rear wing, a first on a road-legal Ferrari since the era of the F50. »
