The Lakers’ new market target unveiled!

The galley season continues for the Lakers, unable to string together victories to make themselves comfortable in the Western Conference. The front office therefore continues to be active, and has just surrounded a new name to strengthen the workforce!

Nothing will be decidedly easy for them this season. Promised to the top of the league following the trade of Russell westbrook last August, the Lakers are now far removed. Only eighth in the Western Conference (21-21), Frank Vogel’s men have just suffered another embarrassing defeat. Defeated by the Kings (116-125), they fully fuel the many doubts that surround them.

Corrections made to the rotation, and in particular the replacement of Lebron james at the pivot position, no longer bear fruit. Therefore, franchise executives must look to other alternatives to make a difference. And a little less than a month from the trade deadline, a transfer appears to be the most likely solution in the eyes of insiders.

Lakers eyeing Raptors starter

US journalists are moving heaven and earth to discover the plans of the Lakers, whose activity in the market seems to be intensifying in recent days. Shams recently took stock of their intentions, and revealed two big players they care about. Michael Scotto did the same in the HoopsHype Podcast, and delivered the identity of another pretty target of the front office angelino!

The Lakers have expressed interest in Gary Trent Jr., according to Michael Scotto.

Unmovable holder in the Raptors, Gary Trent Jr. has so far signed the best season of his career. His averages of 16.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 interceptions are among the reasons behind Toronto’s recent success. However, his mixed skill (42.1% shooting, 36.8% at 3 points) does not really meet the needs of LA, at least in appearance. Anyway, according to Scotto, a trade would hardly be possible.

The Lakers have been doing their research across the league, and have expressed an interest in Raptors full-back Gary Trent Jr., according to league sources. That’s one of the few players they’ve asked for information. However, I do not see a deal intervening between these two teams today, given that it would involve Talen Horton-Tucker and Kendrick Nunn for the sake of wages.

Seduced by Gary Trent Jr.’s scoring profile, the Lakers may seek solutions to attract him to Los Angeles in the weeks to come. However, this would necessarily lead to a delicate decision-making, namely the departure of the nugget Talen Horton-Tucker!
