The Galaxy confirms the arrival of Riqui Puig

The Los Angeles Galaxy achieved a tour de force by extracting the midfielder trained at the club Riqui Puig from FC Barcelona on Thursday.

The Spaniard will commit for three and a half years, he who was acquired thanks to a targeted allocation amount whose value has not been specified. The transfer will be official once the 22-year-old receives his international transfer certificate and visa.

Trained at ‘La Masia’ since he was 14, Puig was no longer in the good graces of Barcelona head coach Xavi. In four full seasons with the big club, he has featured in just 57 games in all competitions, picking up two goals and three assists.

Midfielder Rayan Raveloson has meanwhile joined Auxerre, France to free up space for Puig. The 25-year-old joined the Galaxy last year, amassing eight goals and five assists in 48 games.
