The Formula 1 French Grand Prix becomes the first Grand Prix organizer to receive the highest level of environmental certification from the FIA. By granting this accreditation, the FIA recognizes the environmental performance of the French Grand Prix and its commitment to an ambitious sustainable development approach.
The commitment of the Grand Prix du France is based on continuous improvement aimed at reducing the consumption of raw materials, favoring the use of energy sources based on biofuel, the use of sustainable materials, the elimination of single-use plastics. .
The French Grand Prix has also developed an innovative mobility plan that significantly reduces the carbon footprint linked to the movement of its spectators. Finally, the members of the organization of the Grand Prix de France have shown significant involvement in their approach to social responsibility.
The environmental certification of the French Grand Prix is fully in line with Formula 1’s environmental sustainability plan, which should enable the world championship to reduce its carbon footprint by hosting sustainable events by 2025 and by becoming net zero carbon by 2030.
