The former West Bromwich and Wales player also indirectly advised the Red Devil on his future.
Invited by TalkSPORT, Hal Robson-Kanu (33, without a club since the end of his contract with West Bromwich in July 2021) spoke about the Youri Tielemans case, which he faced in the Premier League. This summer, Youri was insistently quoted on the side of Arsenal. Eventually, the Belgian stayed at Leicester with just one year left on his contract.
Robson-Kanu, author of the second goal in the defeat of our Devils against Wales in the quarter-finals of Euro 2016, first praised the qualities of Tielemans, before advising him indirectly.
“In terms of Premier League players playing in a team where they are bigger than the team and better than the team, he is 100 per cent part of that,” said the Welshman. « He’s a top 4 player (in the Premier League). His ball handling, the way he dictates the game, he gets the ball through the lines and receives the ball in tight areas. He’s going to penetrate and hurt the opponent from a deeper position. »
« It’s something for Arsenal fans, and the way they want to play. He would have been perfect for them. (…) It will be an interesting time for Tielemans this summer. »
