The calendar of the French team to start 2022

The date of Didier Deschamps’ first list in 2022 as well as that of the draw for the 2022 World Cup are known.

In March, the play-offs for the 2022 World Cup will take place. If France is not concerned since it validated its qualification last November, it will still keep a close eye on the big nations which will participate, such as the Portugal, Italy or even Sweden. But no rest for all that for the Blues.

Two friendlies before the long-awaited draw

On March 17, Didier Deschamps will announce the list of players selected to face Côte d’Ivoire (March 25 in Marseille) then South Africa (March 29 in Lille). These friendly matches will be an opportunity for the coach of the Blues to test some new players, we think in particular of Christopher Nkunku, Maxence Caqueret or Amine Gouiri.

On April 1, once the play-offs are over, the French will know their opponents for the World Cup in Qatar since the complete draw for the World Cup groups will take place that day in Doha. The 2018 World Champions will therefore be able to prepare accordingly and arrive as ready as possible to defend their title next December.
