The Browns acquire a star player
Visibly dissatisfied with their defensive performance, the Cleveland Browns decided to move on Monday.
The Ohio club made a trade with the Atlanta Falcons to get their hands on linebacker Deion Jones. According to the NFL Network, a seventh-round selection accompanies the player in Cleveland, while a sixth-round selection goes the opposing way.
Jones, who received an invite to the Pro Bowl game in 2017, still hasn’t played a single game this season. His name was on the Falcons’ injured list after undergoing shoulder surgery over the summer.
In 85 career Goodell league games, Jones had 652 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 11 interceptions and five touchdowns.
The Browns are 2-3 so far in 2022. Last Sunday, in a 30-28 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, they gave their opponents 465 offensive yards.
