The Basketball Africa League is organizing a detection course in Paris!

PROM 2023The Basketball Africa League (BAL) has revealed that a Combine will be held in Paris for young basketball players planning to compete in the 2023 BAL season, which kicks off on March 11 in Dakar, Senegal. This two-day « scouting camp » will bring together 30 players from Africa, Europe, the United States and other regions of the world, and will be held on January 15 and 16 at the indoor basketball center “The One Ball” in Paris.

As in the Draft Combine, players will undergo physical tests and training sessions specific to each position, in 5v5 matches played in front of scouts, coaches and managers of the 12 teams qualified for the next season.

An event that will bring together beautiful people since Quin Snyder, a former Jazz coach, will be in charge of supervising the event. He will be supported by James Wade, who led the Chicago Sky to their first WNBA championship title in 2021 as coach, Jean-Aimé Toupane, coach of the French women’s team. But also Ed Davis (former NBA player), Lamine Kebe, coach of the France men’s under-18 team and Mehdy Mary, assistant coach of the France men’s under-20 team.

A few days before the Paris Game, Amadou Gallo Fall, president of the BAL, will of course be present. He will be accompanied by Anibal Manave, President of FIBA ​​Africa and the BAL Board of Directors. Ian Mahinmi and Ronny Turiaf are also expected on site.

The 2023 season of the BAL, which will be the third edition, will take place from March 11 to May 27 and will once again bring together the 12 best clubs from 12 African countries, who will compete in 38 matches in Dakar (Senegal), in Cairo (Egypt) and Kigali (Rwanda).
