The American D3 changes rules, an inspiration for Ligue 1? — Alsa’Sports

It was a small earthquake that took place this weekend across the Atlantic. The MLS Next Pro (American D3), has announced to change the rules concerning players remaining on the ground. According to the new rules, if a player is injured and remains on the ground for more than 15 seconds, he must be evacuated for treatment off the field and must wait 3 minutes before returning.

Regarding expulsions, the American authorities have also introduced a new rule for the third national level: if a player is expelled against a team, he will have to serve his suspension against the same opponent in the return match. Two welcome decisions that could find an echo in Europe.
