Texas Rangers to host MLB All-Star Game in 2024

Speaking at the conclusion of the annual owners meeting in New York, Manfred announced that the All-Star Game will take place on July 16 at Globe Life Field.

This stadium opened during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. It also hosted the World Series, as a neutral ground, and the National League Championship Series that season.

This will be the second time the Rangers have hosted the All-Star Game, and the first since the National League won 3-2 in 1995 at Ballpark in Arlington. It was then the first mid-season classic since the famous strike which had canceled the rest of the season and the playoffs in 1994 and shortened the 1995 season to 144 games.

Next summer, the all-star game will be held in Seattle. The last time the Mariners hosted this annual classic was in 2001 during Ichiro Suzuki’s first season and Cal Ripken Jr.’s last.

The 2026 All-Star Game will be hosted in Philadelphia and will coincide with the 250th anniversary of United States independence. No announcement has yet been made about 2025.
