Super League: Spielmann leaves YB for Lausanne-Sport – rts.ch
Lausanne-Sport hired attacking midfielder Marvin Spielmann (25), who played for Young Boys. The new LS recruit signed a contract valid until the end of June 2024.
Spielmann arrived at the Bernese club in the summer of 2019 from Thun. With Young Boys, he celebrated 2 Swiss league titles and a success in the Cup.
He also scored the decisive goal in the final against Basel (2-1) on August 30, 2020, allowing the Bernese to achieve their first double since 1958 and their first Cup victory since 1987. In 56 appearances with YB, Marvin Spielmann scored 6 goals and delivered 8 assists.
Penultimate in the Super League standings, Lausanne will resume the championship on Sunday January 30, hosting St. Gallen.
