Sunday Night Football DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS Line-Up Tips for Steelers-Chargers Showdown Week 11 Tournaments

The Chargers will host the Steelers in the Week 11 edition of Sunday Night Football. We have to make some compromises with our DraftKings Showdown roster this week, especially in the “Captain” slot, where we will move away from Najee Harris. However, the savings allow us to solidify the bottom of our DFS line without sacrificing its cap.

Before we get into our choices, here are the key rules for DraftKings Showdown: PPR full point, and there is Three-point bonus for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. Choosing the captain costs 1.5 times a player’s original price, but he also gets his point total multiplied by 1.5.

DraftKings Showdown Pick: Steelers vs Chargers

Budget of $ 50,000, need at least one player from each team.

Captain (1.5x points, 1.5x salary) RB Austin Ekeler, Chargers ($ 16,200)

Ekeler has calmed down a bit from a pair of over 30.0 DK-point performances in Weeks 4 and 5, but he still hasn’t managed to double the numbers just once this season. Whether it’s running, receiving or scoring, Ekeler will be able to deliver another monster performance, even against high quality defense.

FLEX RB Najee Harris, Steelers ($ 11,800)

Harris leads the Steelers in use by a wide margin. His 220 touches represent 48.7% of Pittsburgh’s total. He’s only scored below 20.0 DraftKings points since Week 2, so we know the bottom is high. The Chargers have one of the worst defenses in the league, so a garish scoreline could be in the cards for Harris.

PLUS SNF DFS: FanDuel range

FLEX WR Keenan Allen, loaders ($ 9,400)

Allen is an attractive option in DraftKings queues where full PPR scoring can make the most of its role as a short zone slot machine. Allen has only one game with over 10 receptions, but he earned DK’s three-point bonus for reaching 100 receiving yards on three occasions. He’s averaging a modest 10.7 yards per catch, but he’s had 35 targets in his last three games, so he should be able to rack up the points on Sunday night anyway.

FLEX TE Pat Freiermuth, Steelers ($ 5,400)

Freiermuth comes off a performance in which he was held at 7.1 DK points despite nine goals this season. It was his weakest fantasy production since Week 5, but he has seen 29 targets and scored three times in his last four games. The Chargers have struggled with tight ends this season, putting Freiermuth in a position to get back on track this week.

FLEX K Chris Boswell, Steelers ($ 3,600)

The Steelers offense is flawed, with or without Ben Roethlisberger (COVID) under center. Their struggles with the ball have led to more field goal attempts, especially in recent times. They are tied for the fourth most attempts in the past three weeks. Meanwhile, the Chargers forced the fourth-highest number of attempts in the same span.

FLEX WR Ray-Ray McCloud, Steelers ($ 3,400)

McCloud’s playing time has tended to increase in recent weeks and he’s just finished a game in which he set the best records of the season in snaps (61), targets (12) and receptions (9). It’s hard to end this lineup without saying a Hail Mary, but if McCloud can replicate last week’s effort to some extent, we’re unlikely to be left empty-handed.
