Summit meeting for Barça’s hot issues
A meeting is currently taking place at FC Barcelona’s Joan-Gamper training center between the sports management (the director of football, Mateu Alemany, and the sports vice-president, Rafa Yuste in particular), the coach of the first team, Xavi Hernandez, and Blaugrana captain Sergio Busquets. According to the latest information from Sporttwo main points are on the agenda: the registration of new recruits and the renewal of the contracts of certain executives of the Barcelona team, but also the possible reduction of the salaries of certain players in the workforce in order to correspond to the new club salary scale, which would meet the requirements of the Spanish league.
Remember that FC Barcelona is still awaiting the validation, by La Liga, of the contracts of newcomers. This meeting is therefore supposed to allow the Spanish club to definitively record the arrival of its reinforcements for the coming season. It remains to be seen whether this will be enough or, conversely, whether the club will still have to find other economic levers in order to be able to start its season in the best conditions and especially with its new full workforce.
