Sudan: Premier League draw completed
The sky is gradually clearing around the Sudanese first division football championship. From postponement to postponement, the Sudanese Football Association finally proceeded to draw the championship. A draw executed on the evening of January 27 in Khartoum.
After officially unveiling the new system for the running of the championship, taking into account the security conditions, the Sudanese Football Federation carried out the draw for the Premier League championship. It was under the supervision of the chairman of the competitions committee, Tariq Atta Saleh, and in the presence of representatives of the majority of clubs in the Sudanese league. According to the system put in place, the meetings of the competition are negotiated in 4 cities which are Jebel Awliya, Atbara, El Obeid and Port Sudan.
“Any team will play 2 games in a row in their group, then switch according to a counting system to play 2 games in one of the groups in another city,” explained the head of the competitions committee, Tariq Atta. The SFA have confirmed that the Premier League will start on February 8 this year.
The draw according to the distribution of clubs by city:
Jabal Awliya: Al-Merreikh, Khartoum, Kober and Hilal Port Sudan
Port Sudan: Al-Hilal, Al-Amal Atbara, Toti and Al-Gadarif Police.
Al-Abyad: Al-Ahly Khartoum, Al-Hilal Al-Abyad, Wahi Al-Arab and Al-Hilal Al-Fasher.
Atbara: Wad Nubawi, Al-Ahly Shendi, Al-Wadi Nyala district and Al-Ahly Meroe.
