Wizards @ Heat : 97-112

– We had to wait for the 4th quarter and the heat stroke of Stephen curry for the Warriors to get rid of the Cavs. Decimated, the players of JB Bickerstaff nevertheless led by 13 points at the start of the final period. This is the time chosen by Curry to chain the points (20 of his 40 of the evening) and for the defense of Golden State to close the hatches.

The Warriors passed a 17-0, then a 36-8 on this 4th quarter, by spinning the ball to their superstar to give him the ammunition to reverse the situation. A little uncertain because of a pain in the hance, the « Baby-Faced Assassin » did not show anything in this 4th quarter where, again, the circle seemed wider for him than for any deadly.

Draymond green contributed to this comeback, by defense, of course, but also by distributing 14 assists. Darius garland was the main architect of the three very good first quarters of the Cavs with 25 points on the clock.

– If the Warriors are racing in the West, Miami is doing the same on the other side and took first place last night. The Floridians delighted her at the Wizards by dominating them quite clearly, thanks in particular to the new very good game of Jimmy butler.

Exiting the triple-double, the back of the Heat slammed 32 points at 11/19, with the help of Bam Adebayo (20 pts), back from injury. Washington lost its second game in a row since Bradley Beal (30 pts) returned from his absence for family mourning.

Joel ayayi came in for a short minute of play for the Wizards, recording his third NBA appearance.

– The Grizzlies are recovering after a somewhat complicated pass. Memphis went on to win a second victory at home against the Clippers. Ja Morant (28 points) behaved as a boss in the 3rd quarter (17 pts) when his team needed him to take matters in hand.

The Tennessee point guard was helped by Dillon brooks and Jaren jackson jr (18 pts both), but also Brandon clarke, including the four baskets in a row at the start of the 4th quarter.

The Clippers had to do without Nicolas batum, left to rest to treat his heel. Killian Tillie got him 2 minutes of play to stretch his legs.

– The Spurs continue their tumble. San Antonio suffered a fourth consecutive loss falling on the floor in Minnesota. Wolves, criticized for their lax defense by coach Chris Finch in recent matches, have limited the Texans to 90 points and found a way to fuel Karl-Anthony Towns (25 pts, 12 rebounds, 5 wt.).

– The bad series of the Sixers, beaten five times in a row in recent days, ended even before the return of Joel Embiid. Despite the big game of Nikola Jokic (30 pts, 10 rebounds, 7 pds), the Nuggets allowed Philadelphia to revive thanks to a solid collective performance, but also to Tyrese Maxey (22 pts), Seth Curry (20 pts) and the astonishing Charles Bassey (12 pts, 7 rebounds, 3 ctres).

Michael Malone did not taste the performance of his team and was sent off in the third quarter for a stroke of blood and an intrusion on the field.

– While Jazz’s home win over Toronto was expected, the quality of Rudy Gay’s first appearance this season with Utah was significantly less so. Returning from Achilles tendon surgery and absent in the first 14 matches, the veteran winger made a big impact in his 18 minutes on the pitch.

Gay scored 20 points with 5 3-point baskets and helped create the gap in the 3rd quarter. Rudy Gobert did not miss a single basket (14 points at 7/7, with 11 rebounds) and Donovan Mitchell added 20 points to the bill.

Utah’s defense survived the big game of Gary Trent Jr (31 pts) and the assaults of Fred VanVleet (24 pts).
