Stade Blayais qualifies for the third round by beating Mussidan 1-0

At halftime, the score should have been 3-0 for the Blayais. With a goal for Thibal Maziat, still very dangerous in front of the goal of Mussidanais goalkeeper Guindet, the staff and supporters of Stade Blayais enjoyed this football match counting for the second round of the Coupe de France which perpetuated an incredible series: after having led at half-time, like yesterday (1-0), Stade Blayais has not lost at home since September 2021. With possession of the ball, and nearly ten shots on target, Stade Blayais, which is aiming for the going up to Departmental 1 at the end of the season and the fourth round of the Coupe de France (for the jerseys, etc.) achieved a very convincing success which made his coach Damien Lassou say: « We knew how to be dangerous on the fast attacks, and we defended as a team. We were able to keep the opponent away from our goal and also keep the ball well. »

As for the US Mussidan Saint-Médard, despite a burst in the last twenty minutes, it was non-existent, with a defensive line overtaken by the Blayais assaults and only targeting three shots in attack during the match. The season is likely to be long in Regional 1 for the proteges of David Pradines, on what it showed on Sunday in Blaye.
