Move

  • Getting on a bike has never been so tempting

Tired of crowded transport, traffic jams, non-existent or too expensive parking spaces? To encourage the practice of cycling, the Métropole de Lyon had offered financial aid in 2021 for the purchase of an electrically assisted bicycle, a cargo bicycle or a folding bicycle purchased. This initiative will be renewed in January 2022. You can obtain a reduction of 50% of the purchase price including tax depending on your situation.

  • Park without turning in circles

For those for whom finding a place to park causes cold sweats, the Parclick site allows owners of private car parks to rent their unused places to individuals for competitive rates, up to 30% cheaper than a street parking and 70% only public parking.

  • Try before you buy

By joining the Maison du vélo Lyon, you can borrow, for a short period (from a few days to a maximum long weekend), different models of bicycles and equipment. Please note that this service is not intended to replace rental, but to allow cyclists to test equipment and ensure that it meets their needs.

The « mechanical corner » also allows you to diagnose and maintain your bike. After the technical control of his mount, the Maison du vélo provides the tools, parts and advice to assist you in basic repairs.

Opening hours: Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
