With the Ville Vivez Bougez labels awarded in 2014, and more recently Terre de jeux 2024, the municipality of Saint-Privat-des-Vieux wishes to promote and develop the practice of sport for all.
With this in mind, the municipal animation-youth and sports commission, chaired by Adeline Charles, is multiplying initiatives, such as the sports festival in Saint-Privat, which will take place on September 10.
But for the time being, holidaymakers and sedentary people can discover the many facets offered by Saint-Privat-des-Vieux, to occupy a nature and active day, at the pace of each, alone or with family, on the multiple installations and infrastructures, for all generations.
For hikers, four marked trails including the Croix de Bertranet and its orientation table, with a view overlooking Alès, Aigoual and the Cévennes. Easy walks to download from www.ville-st-privat-des-vieux.com.
Activities or idleness
Another circuit (1,600 km) in the scrubland, suitable for training or walking, that of the Blacous fitness trail, near the stadium, with free access to apparatus and apparatus.
An escape is still possible, alone or in a group, on the kilometers of tarmac tracks for gentle travel, walking and cycling from l’Escale to the sports complex, but also to Mazac, on which children find their space of freedom.
As for the entrance to the village, the welcoming intergenerational garden offers activities or idleness to suit everyone. A vast domain with parking; lawn ; tables and benches under the shade; apparatus; skate park with funbox and slide bar; small soccer field; bowling alleys for all; playground for the little ones, in an enclosed space suitable for young children with disabilities; without forgetting the playground, located on the square of the hamlet of Mazac.
The panorama would be incomplete without the Jardin de l’Oliveraie and the success of its pump track, which is very popular with young people. All these facilities are freely accessible.
