South American Championship U17 (W): Brazil know their opponents

This Friday, February 11, 2022, the draw for the South American Under-17 Women’s Football Championship was held. Brazil’s national team is housed alongside Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Venezuela.

According to the draw made this Friday by Conmebol, the Seleção took note of their opponents, within the framework of the South American U17 women’s tournament. From March 1 to 19, therefore, Brazil will face Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Venezuela, to defend their title and eye a place in the FIFA U17 World Cup. The competition (World U17) will be played in India, in October 2022.

It is the Estadio Charrúa in Montevideo that hosts all the matches of the South American football tournament. Ten teams divided into two pools each play four matches. Then, the first two teams from each pool advance to the semi-finals. Of these four, three will get the ticket for the world which takes place in India. At the end of the confrontation between the four teams, the first will be crowned champion of the tournament.

Here is the program of the competition which will see Brazil go out for the first time on March 2, against Argentina.
