Sory Diabaté invited to Brazil

Since Saturday September 17, 2022, the former first vice-president of the FIF, Sory Diabaté has been in Brazil.

Discreet on the Ivorian football scene, Sory Diabaté animates the news of the discipline through international activities.

On June 24, the former kingpin of Ivorian football was co-opted to be the representative in Africa of SAS Festival international espoirs, organizer of the Maurice Revello tournaments (ex-Toulon Tournament) and Sud Ladies Cup in France.

Three months later, it was in Brazil that Sory Diabaté settled down, at the invitation of Athletico Paranaense, a first division club in the Brazilian national championship located in Curitiba, 403 km from Sao Paolo.

The purpose of this visit is to create a platform for exchanges with club officials with the prospect of collaboration between Côte d’Ivoire and Brazil and above all the facilitation of Africa-South America programs, two areas recognized as major providers of talented footballers to the rest of the world.

Present on the spot after his passage during the 2014 World Cup, Sory Diabaté took the measure of the actions of development of Brazilian football. And this, in contact with renowned clubs and actors, like Luiz Felipe Scolari, former coach of Brazil and winner of the 2002 World Cup with Séléçao.

According to the backstage of these exchanges, good news is expected in the coming weeks for Ivorian football and starting from that of the African continent.

Current 6th in the Brazilian first division championship, Athletico Paranaense coached by Felipe Scolari is qualified for the final of the Copa Libertadores 2022 which it will play on October 29, 2022 against Flamengo.
