The supporters of Olympique de Marseille could be well over 5,000 in the stands of the Stade Vélodrome soon. A first step was taken this Tuesday evening. The Senate passed an amendment that would allowincrease the gauges by adding 50% of the speaker capacity to the 5,000 people currently authorized. All the stadiums could then half fill their stands in addition to the 5,000 people, which would accommodate around 38,000 spectators at the Vélodrome. Good news for all the supporters who demand the implementation of proportional gauges in the stadiums.
The National Assembly will still have to validate the proposal amendment voted by the Senate Tuesday evening. Last week, led by the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, the deputies had revoked an amendment defended by the deputy for Vienne, Sacha Houlié, and voted in a parliamentary committee which defended the proportional gauges.
