Ducati and Lamborghini are iconic Italian brands that will team up again for a new special edition. With the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini as a tribute to the Sian FKP37, it is the Huracan STO that will be in the spotlight.
Lamborghini and Ducati, the story continues. As you can see in this teaser, Ducati is set to present a « very special » model on September 2 that « combines exclusivity, sporty attitude and charm ». Not much is known at this time, but the teaser image shows a carbon fiber piece along with a Lamborghini STO badge. We can also see a two-tone paint job that appears to pick up the Lamborghini Huracan STO’s Verde Citrea livery.
Details are still scarce, but the special edition definitely pays homage to the Lamborghini Huracán STO. The model is presented as a « racing car » for the road as well as the « purest concentration of the driving prowess of the Corsican Team ». And it’s not just a small marketing stunt as the STO has numerous aerodynamic upgrades as well as carbon fiber in over 75% of its body parts. This allows the car to display only 1,339 kg dry on the scale, or 43 kg less than the old Huracán Performante. She’s a real tracker.
Remember that this supercar is pure propulsion driven by a motor Aspirated 5.2-liter V10 that develops 640 horsepower and 565 Nm of torque. It is associated with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which allows this car to go from 0 to 100 km/h in three seconds. If drivers keep their foot planted, the Huracán STO will eventually reach a top speed of 310 km/h. This makes it a great source of inspiration for a Ducati sportswoman.
We’ll learn more about this special Ducati edition tomorrow. Also remember that this is not the first project of this kind between the two brands. Almost two years ago the companies teamed up to design the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini which was inspired by the Siàn FKP 37 and was limited to only 630 copies. Case to follow.
