Solskjaer set to return to Premier League

The former Manchester United manager is likely to return to the English top flight. His name is circulating in Brighton.

Former Manchester United manager Olé Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly among the candidates to coach Brighton.

Solskjaer has been out of work since leaving Manchester last November. And he can’t wait to bounce back with another challenge in a major European championship.

Solskjaer in competition with De Zerbi

The Manchester Evening News claims the Norwegian manager is among the candidates to replace new Chelsea manager Graham Potter at Amex Stadium. The Scandinavian is not the favorite for this role, however. It is the former coach of Sassuolo, Roberto de Zerbi, who would be best placed to land at the Seagulls.

This week, Solskjaer reportedly took charge of his son Elijah’s Under-14 side in a game in Norway.

As a reminder, Solskjaer’s first experience in the English top flight was not at United but at Cardiff City. A passage of which he does not have a good memory since the Welsh team had finished in the Championship (in 2014).
