Khalifa bin Zayed died on Friday May 13 at the age of 74. He held the position of CEO of City Football Group, an entity that owns many clubs around the world including Manchester City, ESTAC, New York City FC, Melbourne City FC (Australia) and Montevideo City Torque (Uruguay).

Owner of the Citizens, ben Zayed had contributed to the growth of English training in Europe.

President of the United Arab Emirates

Khalifa bin Zayed was also the president of the United Arab Emirates, the country in which a boxing gala was to take place this Saturday, May 14. The great American boxer Floyd Mayweather was to be opposed in particular to his compatriot Dan Moore. The gala evening was finally canceled since three days of work suspension were decreed in the country, in addition to 40 days of national mourning.
