Singapore Grand Prix start delayed due to rain

Race management then specified that the start would be given at 9:05 p.m. local time (3:05 p.m. French time), taking advantage of a lull in the Singaporean night. While waiting for the F1s, which will be able to leave the pit lane at 8:25 p.m. (2:25 p.m. French time) to join the starting grid, it is the safety car that has gone out on the track for reconnaissance laps.

Singapore is hosting Formula 1 again after two seasons away due to the pandemic, and 302,000 spectators have been seen across the race weekend, including practice and qualifying, since Friday. A record after the 268,000 spectators of the last edition in 2019.
