Silverstone temporarily suspends ticket sales for the 2023 British GP

The organization of the British Grand Prix had to suspend ticket sales for the 2023 edition due to security problems encountered by some fans on Thursday at the official ticket office.

The organization had already informed fans in the early afternoon that unprecedented traffic on the official ticketing website could cause delays and insisted that it “did everything possible to solve the problems encountered”. But at the end of the afternoon, the Silverstone circuit issued a short press release in which it is announced that ticket sales are temporarily suspended.

« We have decided to suspend ticket sales for the 2023 British Grand Prix, as we have been informed that many fans have experienced problems obtaining their tickets. » indicates the organization of the British Grand Prix this Thursday evening.

“Due to issues with our ticket provider Secutix, we consider the fairest thing to do is to temporarily pause our sales and freeze all ticket prices until this is resolved. We anticipate that sales will resume tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. (this Friday, September 16) and we confirm that there is still availability for all types of tickets.

“Please check our social media and keep an eye on your inbox for our latest updates. Once again, we sincerely apologize for the frustrating experience you may have had today. We thank you for your support.”

The 2023 British Grand Prix will be contested at Silverstone from July 7-9 according to the organisation, although the official calendar for next season has not yet been revealed by Formula 1.
