Former Arizona Coyotes captain Shane Doan is said to be tempted to return to the organization, although his role is yet to be determined.
At least that’s what the Sportsnet network indicated on Monday through its hockey expert Elliotte Friedman. The latter said that discussions between the two parties concerned have taken place.
Doan, 44, concluded his hockey career at the end of the 2016-2017 season. Having worn the letter « C » on his jersey for the past 13 years on the ice, he has recorded 402 goals and 570 assists for 972 points in 1,540 regular season games.
The ex-striker did not evolve for a formation other than that which was in Winnipeg before his transfer to Phoenix in 1996.
After retiring from competition, Doan was hired by the National League to work in its hockey operations department.
