« Shame if Formula 1 snubs Andretti! »

Chip Ganassi Racing principal Mike Hull has backed Michael Andretti’s ambitions to become a Formula 1 team owner.

Hull says his illustrious colleague’s ability to lead racing teams means he shouldn’t be « snubbed » by the governing authorities of F1 as well as the other teams.

Hull, who has worked for Ganassi since 1992, believes Andretti, who has F1 racing experience and competed in 13 Grands Prix for McLaren in 1993, should be granted a commitment given his pedigree.

“His project is ambitious, I wish him all the best, Hull told The Race. Michael is a pure competitor. He understands what racing is. He was a pilot, his father was probably one of the best pilots I have ever seen on a track. So he has the skills to do things well”

“I don’t know if that scares Formula 1, but I think it does because he’s a person from the inner circle. He will understand the world of F1 and learn to build and enter racing cars. »

“Having the name Andretti on the starting grid has to be earned, hammers Hull. They should never refuse someone who has that pedigree and those skills. If they snub him, shame on them! »
