Serie A: Inter Milan obtains without shining the draw in Naples

Inter Milan did well on Saturday in Naples (1-1) during the 25th day of Serie A, picking up a point after being led. A final result that suits AC Milan for the race for first place.

Badge exceeds Maradona

The first period was marked by a clear Neapolitan domination, rewarded by a penalty converted by captain Lorenzo Insigne (7th) after a foul by Milan Skriniar on Victor Osimhen. It’s the first goal Inter have conceded away in Serie A for 440 minutes. With this achievement, the native of Frattamaggiore, in the suburbs of Naples, enters a little more into the history of his training club.

116

Lorenzo Insigne scored his 116th goal for Napoli, making him the club’s third top scorer ahead of Diego Maradona.

A few minutes later, Piotr Zielinski fired a left-footed shot (12th) at the entrance to the area which crashed into Samir Handanovic’s post. Then the interist defense was once again worried by a shot from Victor Osimhen (27th) and a half-volley from Insigne (30th). At the break, the Nerazzurri had only framed a single shot on their three attempts: a header from Dzeko (36th) captured by Ospina.

The awakening of Inter

On returning from the locker room, Inter took their heads out of the water and reacted immediately thanks to their striker Edin Dzeko. The Bosnian took advantage of the ball diverted by Di Lorenzo to trigger a powerful shot from the right which deceived Ospina with the help of the bar (47th).

A false rhythm then set in and the two teams answered each other without finding the breach. Victor Osimhen (55th) then Eljif Elmas (69th), returned in place of injured Politano, stumbled on Handanovic, while Dumfries failed to take back Perisic’s cross against Koulibaly (57th).

The suspense remains in the title race in Italy. Inter Milan and Napoli leave the field open to AC Milan who could well take – temporarily – the lead in the event of victory against Sampdoria on Sunday. Provisionally because the Nerazzurri still have a late game to play against Bologna.
