Serie A boss denounces Mbappé’s extension
During an interview on Italian radio, Luigi De Siervo, the executive director of Serie A, took advantage of the coronation of AC Milan to denounce the extension of Kylian Mbappé’s contract at PSG.
Kylian Mbappé’s extension to PSG was not appreciated by everyone in Europe. After the position of La Liga and its boss Javier Tebas, it is the turn of Luigi De Siervo, the executive director of Serie A, to castigate the outcome of the case.
Luigi De Siervo touts AC Milan role model
Luigi De Siervo took advantage of AC Milan’s championship title to pay for PSG. « Congratulations to AC Milan, success comes from the ability to keep the accounts in order and to manage a place by giving themselves normal rules. What is not good is what happened at Paris with Mbappé », tackled the leader during an interview on Italian radio.
« If football continues to have owners who have unlimited spending power and are willing to do crazy things, it will become unsustainable football driven solely by the logic of who has the most money to spend, added Luigi De Siervo. The healthy model is the one that Milan has been able to build with its leaders, its growth and its reasoned investments. »
A few hours after the announcement of Mbappé’s extension, La Liga announced that it was filing a complaint against PSG for violating the rules of financial fair play. At the end of the contract, the French international preferred to continue his adventure in Ligue 1 for three years, within the club of the capital, rather than joining free Real Madrid.
