Serial goalscorer Erling Haaland set to sign with Manchester City

According to the website The Athletic, the Norwegian striker is expected to sign with Manchester City this week. The agreement between the player and the club trained by Pep Guardiola has already been sealed since last April. The 21-year-old prodigy would become, according to several English media including the DailyMail, the highest paid player in the Premier League. Indeed, the leaders of City would have offered a golden bridge to Erling Haaland since he should receive the trifle of 500,000 pounds sterling per week (584,000 €), or 26 million pounds per season (30.4 M €).

To secure the services of the striker, engaged with Borussia Dortmund until June 2024, the Citizens will also have to pay 75 million euros, corresponding to the release clause set by his club. This season, Haaland has scored 28 goals in the 29 games he has played. Manchester City, who have been producing excellent football since the arrival of technician Pep Guardiola, were looking for a great goalscorer. The Norwegian should meet the expectations of the fans and allow the club to take a step forward in its quest for the Champions League.
