Scott McLaughlin out for a walk in Mid-Ohio

The Mid-Ohio race in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES gave birth to a mouse and it was finally Scott McLaughlin who won after an 80-lap ride.

Scott McLaughlin offers Team Penske a sixth victory in nine races this season. Starting on the front row, Scott McLaughlin avoided all the pitfalls of this Mid-Ohio race.

It’s really unbelievable. I wanted to win in front of my parents. I managed to create a small lead over Álex Palou on the last raise. I am very proud of my team.

Power on fire, the Andretti in the bin

With seventeen passes, Will Power animated the eighty laps of this Mid-Ohio race. It must be said that by making a mistake in the first lap, the Australian from Team Penske was condemned to an attack race if he wanted to come back. The 2014 NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion champion succeeded in his endeavor, moving up to third place. He will not be able to do anything against Scott McLaughlin and Álex Palou for the other two places on the podium.

The Andretti Autosport also got noticed, but not for the right reasons. The future McLaren driver, Alexander Rossi, hung on with all his teammates, including Romain Grosjean. The two pilots making a remarkable passage through the gravel trap.

The next race will take place in two weeks in the streets of Toronto and will mark the return to the city of Ontario after two years of absence linked to the pandemic of COVID-19.
