Scary injury for Tyler Bertuzzi

Detroit Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi left the game between his team and the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday night after having been cut to the wrist.

In overtime, Bertuzzi was in a one-on-one battle with forward Trevor Zegras and fell on the ice. That’s when Zegras’ skate cut the Red Wings player.

When he saw the cut, Bertuzzi immediately left for his own locker room, throwing his stick and gloves onto the ice.

After the meeting, head coach Jeff Blashill confirmed that his player had been cut, but that so far it didn’t seem to be of concern.
