Scandal at the top of the Premier League
Manchester City overcame Everton (0-1) on Saturday, the English championship leader being saved by an unlikely decision by the video referees.
The Premier League title race took a turn this weekend. As Liverpool contest the EFL Cup final against Chelsea on Sunday (5:30 p.m.) at Wembley, Manchester City obtained his 21st victory in 27 days to take a 6-point lead over the Reds, winning a few hundred meters from Anfield, against Everton (0-1).
Pep Guardiola’s men are doing very, very well, as they were pushed around by Frank Lampard’s Toffees. And if they found the fault thanks to Phil Foden 10 minutes from the end (82nd), for the 7th goal of the young English international, the Cityzens could easily have left with a poor performance from Goodison Park.
