Despite the health context and a season almost without championships, the Departmental Council of Saône et Loire wished to salute the department’s clubs and athletes for actions unlike any other.
Appointment was given this Friday evening at the Espace des Arts in Chalon sur Saône for the traditional Sports Trophies ceremony in Saône et Loire. Led by the Departmental Council of Saône et Loire, the operation of the day aimed to promote the actions of sports clubs and athletes during this complicated year on the front of sports practices. Despite this health context, the Saône et Loire wanted to greet « its » Olympians, Sandrine Martinet, Cédric Fèvre, Adrien Hardy, Faadane Hamadi and Frédéric Perrier. The 5 representatives of the department who carried the department’s colors high at the Olympic or Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
The opportunity also to mark initiatives carried here and there by sports clubs of the department while the health crisis has come to parasitize in recent months. A ceremony strong in symbol, history to mark, one hopes, a return of the championships, the results and the sports practices for all and all. The evening at the Espace des Arts was dotted with sports performances greeted by rounds of applause.
