Sale of Chelsea: Ineos and Ratcliffe still there

Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliffe remain on the alert regarding the sale of Chelsea. Despite an initial offer refused by the Raine Group bank, the British businessman remains interested.

“We were rejected outright by Raine, but we will continue to remind people that we are still here” , Ineos Group director Tom Crotty told Bloomberg. Enough to support the fact that nothing is decided in the sale of Chelsea while the investment bank would have entered into exclusive negotiations with Todd Boehly, the American businessman.

An offer for supporters

Tom Crotty has said he and Sir Jim Ratcliffe have met with the Chelsea Supporters Trust and plan to make an offer which is what Blues supporters expect: “We will continue to engage with the fan base”Crotty said. « We see ourselves as a fan-based offering » he added.

A new offer in preparation

In the past, the owner of OGC Nice and Lausanne Sport had already tried to buy Chelsea. But Roman Abramovich was too greedy: “Now the numbers seem more reasonable” added Crotty. For these reasons, a new offer is already in preparation to try to counter the one currently preferred by the American investment bank.
