Saint Gaudens. Lacrosse from recreational sport to competition


A demonstration of a sport little known in France, under the name of « Lacrosse » took place over two days in Saint-Gaudens. Players with a chest and shoulder shield, helmet, elbow pads and gloves held a stick ending in a net in their hands.

The goal of these players is to catch a ball with this net to manage to lead it into the goal of the opposing team.

An activity that takes place both outdoors and indoors. For the occasion, players from Clermont, Bordeaux, Lyon and Grenoble came.

This sport is very similar to ice hockey, it requires cardio, physical and requires speed. Open to boys and girls from the age of 13. For children, the club created 8 months ago has adapted all the structures. Training takes place on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to noon in Sède behind the stadium stands.

Two trial sessions are granted. Price of the license 80€/year.
