Ryan Dzingel, Cory Schneider, Dennis Cholowski among 18 players placed on waivers
The Carolina Hurricanes, Minnesota Wild, New York Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers collectively waived 18 players on Wednesday.
Ryan Dzingel (CAR), Lane Pederson (CAR), Cory Schneider (NYI), Dennis Cholowski (NYI) and Max Willman (PHI) are among the most notable players on Wednesday’s waiver list.
The 23 players gave up on Tuesday to be eliminated without being claimed.

Dzingel, 30, split the 2021-22 season between the Arizona Coyotes and San Jose Sharks, scoring five goals and eight points in 32 games.
Schneider, 36, spent most of 2021-22 in the AHL with the Bridgeport Islanders, posting a 14-11-4 record and .921 save percentage in 30 appearances.
Cholowski, 24, is a former first-round pick who played in 11 NHL games with the Seattle Kraken and Washington Capitals in 2021-22, recording three assists.
So far this fall, three players have been called off waivers:

- Magnus Hellberg (from SEA to OTT)
- Radim Zohorna (from PIT to CGY)
