Russell Wilson’s private Steelers-Seahawks game summary

Do not miss all the action of this NFL day on RDS and RDS Direct with the Seahawks – Steelers duel in conclusion.

Seahawks v. Steelers

A first in 10 years in the NFL as the quarterback to start the game for the Seattle Seahawks against the Pittsburgh Steelers is not Russell Wilson.

The quarterback is kept out of the game for several weeks following surgery on a finger on his right hand.

This is the first time since 2011 that the Seahawks will not play a game with Wilson behind center. Geno Smith takes over in the absence of the number one quarterback for his first start in nearly four years.

The Steelers defense will look to take advantage of this as the offense revived in the last clash against the Denver Broncos.

Ben Roethlisberger will want to continue down this path after a tough start to the campaign as the Steelers are 2-3. The Seahawks defense allowed at least 450 yards in each of their last four games, which tied an NFL record.
