Ronaldo and Maguire, the incredible invitation
Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly invited his former Manchester United teammates, such as Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes, on a farewell trip.
The Portuguese superstar cut his ties with the Red Devils in spectacular fashion in November 2022, with a bombshell interview which resulted in the termination of his contract. Released as a free agent during the World Cup, Ronaldo never got the chance to say goodbye to Old Trafford. The Sun reports that the 37-year-old intends to remedy this situation by inviting a number of people he has worked with to Manchester. It is suggested that captain Maguire and fellow Portugal international Fernandes remain close to Ronaldo, while Casemiro and Raphael Varane were former Real Madrid teammates.
A party with the elders
Ronaldo reportedly told a select group of United players they were welcome to visit him in Saudi Arabiafollowing his transfer to Al-Nassr, while a meeting could be organized in Portugal during the summer, while the fivefold Ballon d’Or awaits the completion of a luxury villa he is building in the suburb of Lisbon.
United have done admirably well without Ronaldo, moving into the top 4 of the Premier League and closing in on a place in the Carabao Cup final, while the Portuguese international waits for his first goal for Al-Nassr.
