Roberto Martinez will give his first ‘post-Euro’ selection on August 26

In early September, the Red Devils will return to the pitch with three qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Roberto Martinez will give its selection for this new window on August 26, announced the Belgian Football Union on Thursday.

These will be the first choices of the national coach since the Euro where the Belgians were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Italy, the champion.

The Red Devils are due to visit Estonia on Thursday September 2 before receiving Czechia on September 5. The match in Belarus on September 8 was relocated to Kazan, Russia, behind closed doors.

The political situation has indeed pushed the European body to relocate the meeting. The European Union and United Kingdom teams are currently unable to fly to Belarus due to sanctions imposed by their respective governments.

The first training is scheduled for August 30. Roberto Martinez will already have to follow the results of the medical examinations that pass Thursday Jan Vertonghen, left injured from the duel of the 3rd preliminary round of the Champions League with Benfica against Spartak Moscow (2-0).
