Rimowa and Porsche present the Pepita suitcase worth 2250 euros and inspired by the Porsche 911

The two brands RIMOWA and Porsche sign their friendship with a beautiful collaboration placed under the sign of elegance. Linked by their German heritage, the luxury luggage company and the car manufacturer have decided to combine their know-how in the creation of the Pepita Rimowa x Porsche briefcase. This suitcase with an avant-garde design has been produced in only 911 models that refer to the classics of the two houses.

The number 911 is not insignificant since it is an explicit homage to the classic Porsche 911 from the German car firm, whose first generation models served as inspiration. Other details refer to it, such as the silver mirror finish, or the black leather straps attached to the case by crest-shaped supports reminiscent of traditional hood straps. The Porsche crest is also placed prominently on the outer side of the luggage which was manufactured in Cologne, Germany. According to Designboom, the design team notes an important detail: “the suitcase can easily be stored in the trunk of a Porsche thanks to its functional design and without wheels”. The interior of the briefcase also includes references to the 911 with leather accents and another Porsche crest printed on the fabric.

The luggage company recalls about Rimowa and Porsche that: “known for their relentless quest for perfection, they both place functional design, technical innovation and high performance at the heart of their business, always respecting of their rich cultural heritage.” Robert Ader, Porsche Marketing Director also added: “Partnering with RIMOWA felt natural for both teams from the start – for me it is always an indicator of the alignment of our brands’ values. The result will, I hope, inspire fans of both brands”.

The parts of this collaboration will be available from April 21 in certain Rimowa stores and online on Porsche at a price of 2250 euros. With each suitcase will also be sold a set of Pepita Rimowa x Porsche stickers.
