A disaster: this is the word used by Alan Jones, crowned Formula 1 world champion in 1980 at the wheel of a Williams, to describe the short two-year stint of his compatriot Daniel Ricciardo at McLaren.
« I’m a little baffled by this whole situation to be honest with you, comments the 76-year-old Australian. I remain convinced that Daniel is a very good racing driver, but I am also of the opinion that a good driver should be able to get into any car and take it to the limit. »
