Retirement soon for Kevin Harvick?

Kevin Harvick is under contract with Stewart-Haas Racing until the end of the 2023 season, but will he extend his career or retire?
In view of his current performance and the series of 50 races without a win, many rumors are beginning to announce the retirement of Kevin Harvick.
However, on Sunday, he almost ended this winless streak by taking second place at the finish of the NASCAR Cup Series race in Richmond. This result, however, remains his best performance since the Bristol race in September 2021.
“I love racing with Stewart-Haas Racing. I love the atmosphere. I like the people here. That’s really the main reason I love doing it, especially this year. You are with a group of people where you are constantly solving problems. »
Said Kevin Harvick when asked about a potential retirement.
« I guess I would feel like I’d let them down if I didn’t stay with this team for a few more years. I always like this challenge. I love where this series is, and learning about the new car isn’t a bad thing to do. It’s new and I find it interesting. »
The arrival of the Next Gen car in the NASCAR Cup Series presents a big challenge for teams, but also for drivers like Harvick. His generation spent almost their entire career driving one of the very different stock cars from what we have today.
